Youth Agricultural Expo 2024

9th/10th March 2024

Welcome to our 138th Castle Hill Annual Show and the 134th year at our current showground.

The 2024 Show will once again be about educating young agriculturists of the future. Since 2017,  the Youth Agricultural Expos were successful in giving young agriculturists the opportunity to show school animals which include beef and dairy cattle, sheep (meat and wool) and poultry. Students also entered paraders / handlers competitions and Young Judges Competitions for all of the above livestock categories in addition to grain judging.

Unfortunately 2020 and 2021 Expos were not held due to the COVID 19 pandemic.

The Hills and surrounding Districts have a large number of schools which have a long association with agricultural education and the Castle Hill Show is important to them. It will enable them to develop their skills and learn new techniques.

Qualification at the Group 4 Finals at Castle Hill enables our young agriculturists to attend the State Finals at Sydney Royal Easter Show.

The Castle Hill and Hills District Agricultural Society values its education program of promoting excellence in agricultural competition, parading and young judges competitions. Teachers have reported that as a consequence of these programs, they have seen an increase in the uptake of students pursuing careers in the agricultural sector.

The railway and adjacent roadworks has made changes for the show and the showground such that the Horse section will be held in February 2024 and the Annual Pony Club Day is Sunday 10th March 2024. We thank you for your patience and support during this time.
