About The Show
Welcome to the 127th Castle Hill Agricultural Show 8th, 9th, 10th March 2013, Castle Hill Showground entry via Doran Drive, off Carrington Road, Castle Hill.
The Castle Hill Show is vibrating and can be a jaw-dropping experience as well as entertaining to people of all ages. We present a modern format to the traditional show while maintaining our heritage, events and regional excellence. We are the forerunner to the Sydney Royal Easter Show – where many of our exhibitors gain outstanding degrees of excellence. Our annual show is a country show catering for the city and surrounding districts – organised and maintained by a valuable group of volunteers. Come to the Castle Hill Show and you will experience the fun of the fair as well as view the high quality of animals and exhibits in the ring and the pavilions.
Throughout the history of the show, a prominent feature has been a glowing pride in our district, which has motivated so many men and women to serve their fellow citizens with limited financial support and with no thought of material gain. We have developed an institution which has become a local tradition. Heritage pavilions – the buildings we have known and loved for generations blend with our more modern pavilions surrounded by grassed areas and trees.
The success or failure of a show depends entirely on how well the community supports it. The best way to support your show is to become an exhibitor of your work, produce or animals – and to attend the days of the show. The organizing committees work all year to produce and provide the venue. We look forward to and thrive on your support. At all times we encourage junior exhibitors to participate in all aspects of the Show. Juniors are the future of our Show.
The Castle Hill Show is always an educational experience – see, hear, touch, taste and smell the best of the country and surrounding districts in the city.
